U-Line’s 50th Anniversary Expansion: Modular 3000 Series

Henry Uihlein Sr., a third-generation descendant of the founders of Jos. A. Schlitz Brewing Co., launched the U-line Corporation in 1962. Ulhlein developed and patented the first automatic, stand-alone, and under-counter residential ice maker as an outgrowth of Ben-Hur Freezer Company. Fifty years later and a few months after his passing, his granddaughter and the company's president, Jennifer Uihlein, introduces the Modular 3000 Series under-counter collection. The series comprises the 3024RGL 24-inch glass-door refrigerator, the 3024RF 24-inch solid-door refrigerator, the 3024WC 24-inch Wine Captain, the 3024BEV 24-inch Beverage Center, and the 3018CLR 18-inch Clear Ice Maker.

Concealed hinges, toe-kicks, and various frame options (overlays, inset, frameless) allow designers to incorporate these appliances easily and discreetly within standard 24-inch-deep cabinetry. Refrigerators are available with solid doors or with 18-, 24-, and 36-inch-wide glass doors with adjustable glass shelves, extendable crisper drawers, and flexible storage capabilities. The control temperature modes include five preferred presets but can be adjusted as desired, including a “quick chill” optio that speedily cools content to a preferred setting. Theater-LED lighting, black interiors with graphite, and tinted accents are optional.
